DESCRIPTION
Grim's Coffin is a 2D Action Metroidvania where you play as Grim, the Reaper of the Underworld. Grim's job is to guide mortal spirits through The Drift in order to bring them to the Underworld, the final resting place for those who have passed on.
After a shocking event during a patrol like any other, Grim's whole worldview is thrown off balance, after losing most of his power and his purpose made unclear, Grim must embark on a journey of self discovery while dealing with this newfound grief.
Along the way, meet some of the many spirits Grim was once responsible for, these characters will offer to help Grim on his journey, granting him powerful new abilities as he makes his way through the dangers of The Drift.
MY CONTRIBUTIONS
My role on Grim's Coffin was as the Lead UI Programmer, Gameplay Developer, and Producer. I worked in Unity to implement many of the game's core foundational systems such as enemy spawning, persistent data, and much of the game's progression system.
I also implemented the core User Interfaces throughout the game. This includes various menus, player stats, interaction icons, and a fully dynamic map interface that grows as you explore.
My production responsibilities involved coordinating with both internal and external team members across several 2-week sprints, utilizing Jira for Task Management and Github for Version Control, running Sprint Planning & Retrospective meetings, and keeping documentation up to date.
